Gratitude where it’s due: - Distinguishing an Incredible Artist-Ms. Debbie Green:

A few months ago, I met an incredible woman; a revolutionary Artist, Master Denim Painter,
and Graphic Designer…Ms Debbie Green. We got to work together on a few projects of common interest, one of which she custom-designed a hand painted crown on denim fabric for my mother.
The crown looks real as it glitters like expensive jewels. It took her less than 12 hours to paint and adorn the picture; and she updated me regularly about the artwork progress.
As you will also witness in the attached photographs, her work is spectacular.  Furthermore, she exposed elite customer service skills, empathy, and communication attributes that reflected one who does not only treasure her clients, but is also an expert in her field.
I then considered it proper to share my experiences about her with the world, with intent to show my appreciation, and also publicly gossip about her undeniable skills.
Below are the details of the interview that I administered with her.

1.    In a line or two, please mention the most important highlights about your life.

I am a dedicated artist and pioneer when it comes to transforming fabric into breathtaking, jewel-like hand painted collectable art. With decades of experience in the art industry, I strive to keep honing my skills, creating, inventing, visually and emotionally inspiring my audience and keeping my mind and body physically and spiritually fit.

2.    What are your qualifications?

Seriously seasoned as a traditional and digital artist, my experience includes working a decade for major
Animation studios. I am credited with a dozen famous feature animated movies produced by
Walt Disney and Warner Brothers Feature Animation. I have also worked for Warner Brothers Online and various Animation Studios in Los Angeles. My background includes Fine Art and Graphics.

3.    What business are you in?

I created my own business painting colorful, whimsical and forever stylish animals and designs on denim and fabrics using only washable paint and glitter. My unique paintings shimmer like precious breathtaking
Swarovski Crystals. Proudly display your favorite pet or design on clothing or canvas.

4.    When did you start this business?
2010

5.    Who is your audience?

People from all walks of life who treasure Art and love their pets, animals, personal designs and the magical beauty of jewel-like hand painted art. Uniquely perfect gifts for family, friends and children of all ages. My artwork will also satisfy customers who want to artistically hide a stain from their garment.

What do you think makes you stand out in the crowd?

My process involves first hand drawing a client’s image or photograph onto a garment, piece of denim, or fabric. Then, I carefully layer brush strokes filled with vibrant washable fabric paint. Glitter is carefully applied to give` gem-like Swarovski sparkle. No two paintings will ever be alike! One must see my fabric art in person to fully appreciate the intricate craftsmanship. Achieving this regal quality is paramount, involving skill, time and a touch of magic.
This explains why all of my paintings are true creations of love.

6.    Please share your greatest business achievement.
My greatest achievement was working with a talented Disney and Warner Brothers’ crew, on animated movies including:

-          The Hunchback of Notre Dame

-          Tarzan

-           Mulan

-          Hercules

-          Fantasia 2000

-          Atlantis

-          Lilo and Stitch

-          Treasure Planet

-          Home on the Range

-          Brother Bear

-          Space Jam

-           Digitally re-mastered versions of “The Lion King” and “Beauty and the Beast.”

Working in Feature Animation gave me the inspiration to create my own art studio.

7.     Please share your biggest business challenge and how you overcame it.

After Disney outsourced my department, I quickly reinvented myself by attending college and occupational centers. I became a skilled digital Graphic Artist and utilized Photoshop, Illustrator, Web Design, Microsoft Word,
Motion graphics, Photography and software to enhance my traditional art skills. I designed and launched my own websites, business cards and presentations. Since there are countless talented graphic artists out there, the competition was tremendous. Consequently I created a product that was artistically unique, inspiring and would capture a wide audience. The name of my company became DebbieDoesDenim. If it’s Denim, I’ll do it!

8.     How do you get clients for your business?

My clients come from my website DebbieDoesDenim.com, friends, business networking and word of mouth.
