Man's ultimate purpose for all pursuits:

To a large extent, people tend to focus on three major things in life: money, love, and material possessions. We magnify the relevance of these things, which occasionally pushes our minds into “anxiety extravaganzas,” in an attempt to discover the easiest means to achieving plentiful in the shortest time possible. Moreover, millions of books have been written about happiness and how to realize it. However, I am yet to find any argument that advocates for forcing one’s way to achieving it.

In a UK Times online newspaper blog, the author James Montier, a global equity strategist, argued that several studies proved that money and possessions fail to create consistent happiness. For instance, incomes in the United Kingdom have increased tremendously since the 1950s; however, contentment levels have barely shifted. Research on lottery winners also indicated that these lucky buddies revert to their previous levels of happiness within a year of their windfall.

However, more controversial is that this report comes from an investment banker, where presumably money is God. Somewhat heretically for a bank employee, the report is titled
“For it doesn’t pay materialism and the pursuit of happiness.”

Understandably, this has been greeted with skepticism by some brokers who raison d’etre in their annual bonus. But Monteir says that, as a strategist, he wants to know what makes people really happy and why they force situations to happen while in the pursuit of their desires.

The concept of diminishing returns, although related to production, justifies the argument that more isn’t necessarily better. Why then, force things to happen, when there is no guarantee that they will yield everlasting satisfaction?

The Power of a woman’s Intuition in Relationships:

As mothers of this planet, we are all born and immensely embraced with the power of intuition. This power is literally the voice of God through which he communicates to us. It is that little voice that tells us to do, or not to do certain things when we are faced with indecision.
Image
On the other hand, God created men with a power not so easy to put words on; one that gives them the courage and confidence to approach women, strangers for that matter, and then convince them to get into their beds. Take it or not, that is POWER!  However, God is reasonable; because the intuition he/she gave us as women, equips us with the skills to deal with men. The challenge is for us to constantly be in touch with ourselves.
The wise ones have advocated for centuries for the discipline of living in the moment, and that is not without its benefits.  When you are in a relationship, it is important not lose yourself completely into the man’s world. This means that you remain in touch with yourself, but at the same time focus on your man with your brain, heart and mind. It is about balance. That way, you will not only enjoy yourself in the relationship, but also notice changes whenever they arise. Also, you will listen to that magic inner voice whenever it speaks, or directs you to be cautious, question something, or change your game. If you are very observant and more grounded than egoistic, you will be able to see red flags or signs that could give you insight into what your man could be doing behind your back. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you will be policing him. It simply means that you are alert, confident and do love yourself enough not to stay in a relationship that is more emotionally draining than uplifting.
Severally, my girl friends tell me about how they caught their men red-handed cheating, perusing through dating sights, or doing whatever else is negative for the relationship; and they appear so surprised. “It was so abrupt. I was so shocked,” they claim. The only shock to me is the fact that these ladies were so out of touch of their intuitive-selves that they failed to recognize the red signs. Remember that men are not as cautious and detailed as we are. If there are changes in a man’s routine, or a discovery of new interests, he will subconsciously start changing his behavior. Moreover if you are observant, you will know in due time and then change your game. Keep in mind that love is like a puzzle. As an individual, you are the only one in control of your own feelings. If you let others manipulate them directly or indirectly through their actions, you are the loser, not them.
Below is a list of some of the things that men do when they are cheating, or at the very least, have the intention to:-
-         They buy new under wears
-         They buy new colognes and/or perfumes
-         They put a password on their phones
-         If they have not been taking the garbage out and have always complained about it, they start taking it out before you even ask.
-         If they haven’t been using mouth wash or flossing, they will get into the habit
-         They will appear more tired and distant than usual.
-         If they have been choosing their own clothes and have always had a problem with you choosing for them what to wear, they will ask for your opinion.
-         They won’t look at you straight in the eye.
-         Some may begin critiquing your weight or clothes, something they didn’t do in the past.
These are some of the things that men will do if their attention is being drawn to someone else.  Also, if you are always present in every situation, enjoying and absorbing every stance of the relationship, and also listening to your intuition, you will be able to smell a man’s crap before it gets to you.
So my dear sisters, stop being shocked. Use your intuition and self-love to stay current with the relationship. Don’t be left out of the game.

When the going gets tough.....

When the going gets tough.....

The famous saying “when the going gets tough, the tough get going,” is no joke.
In these global economic and social turbulent times, only those with a thick skin can survive. With the recession stretching many to a new level of stress, including self discovery, innovation and change, some are just launching their ideas and/or products/services in new markets; markets which are circulated, blocked and/or almost inaccessible.
Regardless of the nature of product/service one is launching, there are quite a few challenges involved. The fact that substitution of these products and/or services is easier than ever before, leaves one wondering whether it is really worth the effort to try and penetrate his/her target market.
I have learnt one thing. Everything begins within you. If you have the profound desire to succeed at what you do, nothing will stop you. You will face the world, competition or whatever else is challenging, with vigor, determination and bliss. This is what I call toughness because no obstacle seems to be big enough to hinder one from trying. Persistence is key. Working with your mental and emotional abilities to have a positive outlook towards life is a profitable element. Back home in Africa, there is a saying that “famers never quit cultivating their land just because there was a storm the previous day.” They wake up the next morning as if nothing happened, and start all over again.
Therefore, regardless of how hard your situation appears to be, or how challenging things are for you at the moment, remember you are the only one who can get going. Kick yourself harder, and stretch yourself more than you ever did. Then you will discover that when the going gets tough, indeed the tough get going.

Nothing Moves, If Nothing Happens

Stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone – Yes you can
There are days I wake up and wish that I had remained asleep for as long as the world evolved. These are days when I am faced by a persisting challenge, and I am petrified to face it for yet another day.
Nothing makes sense during these critical moments. However, before I pull the sheets and slide back into my bed, I remember that nothing happens, if nothing moves. I get my act together, and focus on every breath I take rather than the 12 hours I have to preserver through until the end of the day. Since then, planning for the entire day is absolutely useless. Also considering the fact that I am not in the mood to follow through anything from beginning to end, I just take one step at a time.
One thing that I have learnt, is that exercise however minor on such mornings, is a kick-start; because it will surely push you to another level of physical strength. Once the heart rate raises, and the blood circulation gets moving, the brain automatically demands more activity. However if I still feel sluggish after the exercise, I remind myself about the "mind over matter" concept and then drag myself to execute a task I have put off for a while. I go within myself and stretch my mind to pursue something positive. And once I start, the rest is history. My attention is subconsciously diverted into what I am executing; which also retires my thoughts from thinking about what I do not want.
I just want to remind you that regardless of what you are going through, time will never stop for you. The bills will still come, and on time. Nothing stops to wait for you just because you are stressed. The good news is that, independent of your external circumstances, you still have a mind that you can tap into and stretch yourself more than you have done before. Believe me, YES YOU CAN. Stretch yourself today and go beyond your comfort zone in the pursuit of your dreams.  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1461079098, www.tapthegood.com.

The secrets to a "happy for no reason" life:: What do you do, when you don’t know what to do?

What do you do, when you don’t know what to do?

An entire week has gone by, maybe a month, and you are still faced with a big question mark in my mind. “What the hell can I do? You ask. You are faced with a challenge that has logged into your world for a couple of weeks, months or even years. It could be that this problem keeps recurring in your life and you are short of options to find viable solutions.  Moreover, bitterly, you can’t focus on anything else. You are probably hopeless and emotionally tormented.
This is what you do. When you realize that there is nothing you can do about a situation, stop trying to find answers and/solutions. Stop rehearsing your problems in your mind, which is another way to imply “worrying”. Remember that worrying doesn’t take the problem away. It only slowly but surely erodes your body’s comfort and defensive systems. Haven’t you heard of the saying “If you can’t beat them, join them?” This suggests that when you realize that your problem is bigger than you; join it and stop perceiving it as a problem. Start regarding it as something giving you temporary company, and will soon go back to wherever it came from.
It helps to remember that you are not alone. As long as you breathe, you are connected to God, who dwells within you.  Surrender your problem to that mighty power that is locked within your very soul, and lays waiting for you to put your trust in it. You can start by focusing on the things that are working out in your life. Turn your attention to the things that make you happy. This is the time to be grateful for what you have. Besides, who knows? If what is happening wasn’t happening, do you have any idea about what would be happening? Therefore, let go, and let God take over. Besides doesn’t it make more sense to give your problem to the expert?  If you have been approaching this challenge using the same strategies, getting the same results but then continue doing the same old stuff, then you are practicing insanity. It is vital to acknowledge the fact that you can’t do everything on your own. There is a universal power to which you are connected, that knows all things, SO, LEAN ON THAT!   www.tapthegood.com.

Take control of your TONGUE

God gave us the free will to use our tongues and tap into sound to create speech. Many times, we speak without thought; only to regret what we said. I don’t care what kind of magician you are, if you say anything, you can never take it back inside yourself. If you are lucky, you might have a chance to apologize or re-phrase your statement to whoever you were speaking to. If you are unlucky, he/she will grab onto whatever you have said and bitterly go away with that. The consequences may not be pretty. Another danger is when you constantly tell yourself garbage.  “I am ugly; am growing old; am broke; am lonely; am dead etc” My dear, trust me you are creating garbage in your life. The bad new news is that words are energetic. Once spoken with conviction and/or repetitively, they rush to the subconscious mind where they lay waiting to create your world. The good news is that the subconscious mind is accommodative. It works like a weighing machine or a see-saw. Between positives and negatives, whatever overweighs the other, takes over.

For the month of February, let’s all attempt to think before we speak, both to others and ourselves. Whenever we open our mouths, let the words that come out of us be positive, inspiring and/or loving.

Wake up every morning, look at yourself in the mirror and confidently tell yourself the following affirmation: “I am beautiful and a perfect creation of God. He dwells within me and creates my world to perfection. I love myself. I am blessed and loved more than all the words, in all the books, in the entire world”. Smile, and let the day embrace you as it does to a sun-ray. Common babe, be the sun in your world; SHINE!!

KEEP DREAMING:- DON'T BE DISCOURAGED.

If anyone told you that it is a cup of tea to genuinely smile through a disappointment, then he/she has some pretence going. Bad times are tormenting, leave alone discouraging, and in most cases if whatever has happened is the very opposite of one’s heart’s desires, he/she might feel like the world is closing in. However, even then, one has to realize that not everything happening at a particular time is visible. For instance I am certain that as you read this blog, you are breathing, but do you see the oxygen? Don’t answer that. The point I am trying to make is that, every event that occurs manifests both visibly and invisibly. One’s two eyes will witness the visible part, however the invisible part can only be viewed by the mind’s eye – “the third eye”. The latter eye is only functional when the other two are closed, and one is still and completely non-judgmental. This state of mind can be challenging to get to, especially if one’s thoughts are blogged with too many ideas or questions about how best to get out of his/her situation. Be encouraged that for every question, there is an answer. For every problem, there is a solution. For whatever is bad, there is something so amazingly good happening, although it may not be visible at that time, or in the process of revealing itself. So my dear, do not be discouraged. Keep pushing, keep hoping, keep dreaming. It is part of the human existence. For more check out http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1461079098 or www.tapthegood.com.

Every moment that presents itself, is a learning blessing:

The wise ones always emphasize that we should live in the moment. Certainly neglecting the depth of this advice, I always considered it sheer propaganda. Little did I know then, that every moment is  magical, unique and with breathe-taking lessons, experiences that come with it. When one is busy focusing on the past or worried/anxious about the future, the moment is busy sailing away with its treasures. Many of these treasures include but are not limited to lessons that may never present themselves again. It is like looking at the sun and missing out on its warmth, the beauty in its rays and the vitamins it freely provides to our bodies. It is not only important to focus on the moment, but also vital for one’s personal growth and survival. However with the ever changing worldly environment, there are so many distractions that grab one’s intention to focus on a particular moment. The challenge is ours to separate ourselves from what was, or will be and learn from what is.
